NIH to Discontinue Notices Regarding Funding Opportunities in FY2026

The NIH will stop posting grant and cooperative agreement funding notices in the NIH Guide for Grants and Contracts starting in FY 2026. Since 2005, NIH has published these notices on both Grants.gov and the NIH Guide, but going forward, Grants.gov will serve as the only official source for information regarding funding opportunities. The NIH Guide will continue to publish policy and informational notices. This change is part of NIH’s broader effort to streamline the funding process and eliminate duplication across federal systems.
